Post Covid Care

What is Post Covid Care

The coronavirus is a formidable pathogen capable of causing significant harm to the body. Even individuals with moderate to severe infections may experience damage to their respiratory system. Moreover, those who had mild infections must remain vigilant during the post-infection phase as symptoms of other health issues triggered by the virus may emerge. After battling the virus for an extended period, the body often feels weakened and fatigued, which is a natural response.

Therefore, it’s essential to shower yourself with care and attention even after the virus has been eradicated from your body. This will aid in ensuring complete healing and enable timely action if additional healthcare assessments are required.

Take Rest
Many healthcare professionals advise extending isolation for an additional 7 days, particularly considering recent studies indicating that the virus may persist in the body even after symptoms have subsided. After recovery, it’s beneficial to allow yourself a week of complete rest. A well-rested body can prioritize healing, so prioritize getting adequate sleep, as it accelerates the recovery process. Avoid immediately returning to your previous lifestyle; excessive work, stress, and anxiety can compromise your health.
Exercise a little daily
Engaging in exercise, although it may not seem appealing, is crucial for a swift recovery. Physical activity enhances blood and oxygen circulation in the body, aiding in detoxification. Moreover, exercise prompts the brain to release happiness hormones, boosting your mood—a particularly vital aspect following a bout of COVID. It’s important to listen to your body and not overexert yourself. Focus on activities you enjoy and aim for consistency rather than intensity. Even just 10 minutes of exercise each day can make a significant difference.
